Reading Special Constabulary Police Cap Badge

A scarce original circa 1933 to1939 period 'Reading Borough Special Constabulary cap badge'; large silver plated crowned blue enamel title surround, the centre depicting the pre 1953 arms of the Borough of Reading an embossed blue enamel shield bearing five maidens heads; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'FATTORINI & SONS LTD BRADFORD WORKS BIRMINGHAM' this address format used between 1933 and1939. Very good condition, complete with original two loop fittings and split pin, no defects to the enamel, silver plating with minor wear.
