A scarce original First World War period 'Metropolitan Special Constabulary Police Sergeants cap badge'; large bronzed badge, yellow vitreous enamel Crowned title circlet with Royal Arms to solid centre, the reverse impressed with maker's details 'W.O.Lewis Howards St Birmingham'. Good condition, complete with original two loop fittings and split pin, minor flake to the enamel lower left, not affecting its appearance.
