Newcastle Upon Tyne Special Constable numbered police badge

A scarce original 'Newcastle Upon Tyne Special Constable gilt and enamel badge'; Crowned blue enamel title surround with embossed red enamel shield bearing three castle turrets to gilt centre, the reverse impressed with early turn of the century maker's details 'FATTORINI BRADFORD' and impressed with issue number '552'. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole lapel fitting, no enamel loss, minor bruise to crown, gilt finish remains bright.
