A good original circa 1940's period 'Pea-Nut Club fundraising celluloid tin button badge' displaying a unshelled peanut, the rim with printed maker's details 'Caxton Name Plate MFG.Co. Ltd. Kew Green, Surrey'.
Very good condition, complete with original pin fitting, colours remain bright, without dents and with a good patina. An excellent example.

The Pea-nut Club was formed during the Second World War to support the 'Guinea Pig Club' established in 1941 by Sir Archibald McIndoe at Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead, Sussex, the Plastic Surgeon who rebuilt the faces of Royal Air Force servicemen burnt in action.
