A scarce original circa Second World War period United States manufactured 'Ship Building Our Answer To Hitler War Service gilt badge'; blue enamel title surround, embossed battleship full steam ahead to centre 'WAR SERVICE' caption above; the reverse impressed with low official issue number '59'. Very good condition, complete with original screw post and nut fitting, no stress marks or damage to the enamel, an excellent example.
