Victorian African Royal Mail Officer Quality Gilt Button by Baker & Co Ld London

A good original Victorian period 'African Royal Mail gilt rope edge tunic button' the lined centre with embossed 'African Steamship Company flag' later purchased by Elder, Dempster and Company Limited in 1891; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Baker & Co Ld London'. Very good condition, complete with original shank, gilt finish remains bright.
