A scarce original fine quality 'Adelaide Hospital Dublin silver nurses pin badge' bearing the Latin phrase 'LABOR OMNIA VINCIT' (Work conquers all), the reverse impressed with Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1946, maker's details 'W.J.D.' (William James Dingley) and inscribed 'JOAN WEIR' ' and numbered '33'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings with an additional safety chain added, no defects to the enamel, an excellent example.
