A scarce original circa 1940's period 'United Dairies (London) Ltd Inspector cap badge'; large chomium plated convex tiered bar, bearing embossed red enamel 'UD' cypher to the centre with 'INSPECTOR' superimposed across the centre on stippled ground; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'J.R.GAUNT LONDON'. Good condition, complete with original two loop fittings with split pin, no defects to the enamel, some service wear.
