WW1 Isle of Man 1918 Hm Silver Naval Anchor Brooch

A scarce original First World War period fine quality 'Isle of Man pin badge' in the form of an small silver anchor, mounted with a blue translucent 'Triskelion'; the reverse impressed with Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1918 and maker's details 'ALLd' (Adie & Lovekin Ltd). Good condition, complete with original hook and a replacement padded pin fitting, minor wear and enamel defects. Height 33mm.
In the First World War the Isle of Man became an internment Camp for enemy aliens. Manxmen also served at sea in the Royal Navy and Merchant Navy.
