S.S.Carisbrook Castle Union-Castle Mail Steamship Company Badge

A scarce original circa 1898 to 1922 possibly wartime period 'S.S. Carisbrook Castle shipping line pin badge'; large gilt white enamel rope edge bouy, mounted with ornate crossed Blue Ensign (commanded by an officer in the Royal Naval Reserve) and Union-Castle Line enamel flags joined by title scroll below 'CARISBROOK CASTLE'. Good condition, complete with original pin fittings, (actual pin a replacement), enamel intact, minor lead solder repair to rope edge, otherwise a fine example hard to find.
