M.V. Circassia Anchor Line Ships Wheel Badge

A scarce original circa 1940's period 'M.V. Circassia gilt and enamel souvenir pin brooch' in the form of a blue enamel ships wheel the centre mounted with the 'Anchor Line' shipping line swallow tail flag. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no stress marks or damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright. An excellent example.
Diameter approx 26mm.
M.V. Circassia was built in 1937 by Fairfield Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd, Glasgow Scotland for the Anchor Line and their service to India. During the Second World War she was requisitioned as a troopship. Scrapped 1966
