R.M.S. Orsova Bouy Orient Shipping Line Flag Badge 1909
A scarce original circa pre 1936 period 'RMS Orsova pin badge' gilt brass example in the form of a white enamel bouy, mounted to the centre with the 'Orient Line Company Flag' in red, white and blue enamel. Good condition, complete with original pin fittings with amateurish old replacement pin, no stress marks or damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright.
Height approx 28mm.
SS Orsova was a steam ocean liner owned by the Orient Steam Navigation Company. She was built by John Brown & Company at Clydebank, Scotland in 1909 to operate a passenger service between London and Australia. She was scrapped in 1936.
