Kodak Camera Harrow 1928 - 1978 Jubilee Medallion of the Research Laboratory
This medallion is one of 950 that were issued on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the founding in 1928 of the Research Laboratory of Kodak Limited at Harrow. The effigy of Dr. Mees is based on a portrait plaque sculptured by R. Cochet and presented to the the Harrow Laboratory by colleagues at Kodak Pathe, S.A.Vincennes.
The obverse is dedicated to Charles Edward Kennith Mees at whose instance the Laboratory was established in 1928. The device on the reverse of the medallion, the upheld, radiant orb was taken directly from the Company seal of the first British company (1889) Eastman Photographic Material Limited, now in the Kodak Museum.
Very good mint condition, housed in it protective case and complete with informative leaflet.
