British Red Cross Society 1914 -1918 War Service Medal & Box of Issue

A good original full sized unnamed gilt medal as issued in 1920, the obverse with Red Cross within laurel wreath and surrounding title 'British Red Cross Society For War Service: 1914 -1918', the reverse with maker's details 'J.R.Gaunt London' and Latin motto 'Inter Arma Caritas' (In War, Charity). Very good clean condition, complete with original silk ribbon and suspension bar with pin fittings, together with its original scarce box of issue this with coloured details to the front now dulled.

Overall Height approx 76mm.
