RMS Mauretania medal struck from the metal of the old ship 1906 -1935

A good original circa 1939 period commemorative medal; the obverse depicting an embossed representation of the newly built Cunard White Star Line R.M.S. Mauretania ship and inscribed 'Built on Merseyside 1937 - 1939'; the reverse stating that 'This Medallion is Made From Metal From The Old MAURETANIA 1906-1935'. Very good clean condition, complete with its original patriotic red, white and blue silk ribbon with pin fitting, minimal wear.
