A scarce original circa Victorian Edwardian period 'The Patriotic Association Union lapel badge'; large gilt circular example inlaid with rich blue enamel, the centre depicting a Union Flag, flanked by the gilt symbols a Thistle and Shamrock spray with Rose below. These represent the St George's Cross, St Andrew's Cross and St Patrick's Cross that comprise the National Flag. Excellent condition, complete with early style circular lapel fitting, no stress or enamel defects, gilt finish remains bright.
