British Legion large 1st pattern membership lapel badge

A good original early pattern large sized brass and enamel 'British Legion membership lapel badge', the reverse with unusual maker's details 'J.R.Gount London', issue number '105884' and 'Rd 684409' a Registered Design and Patent Number for the year 1921. Very good clean condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, no damage to the enamel.
Height approx 26mm.
The British Legion formed in May 1921.
