Borough Road College Training Corps VTC Badge

A scarce original just prior to the First World War 'Borough Road College Volunteer Training Corps lapel badge'; gilt brass blue enamel title surround, embossed Coat of Arms in the form of a shield to centre, depicting a Bee and hives with scroll below 'UNA MENTE' below; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'FATTORINI BRADFORD' an address format used between circa 1911 and 1913. Very good condition, complete with original round buttonhole fitting, no defects to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright.
