British Red Cross Society County of Essex badge

A scarce original early issue 'British Red Cross Society County of Essex gilt and enamel badge', the reverse with maker's details 'J.R Gaunt London' and inscribed '32005 ESSEX / 76'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no stress marks or damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright.
Height approx 49mm.

The British Red Cross Society County / Branch badge was Instituted in 1911 and Discontinued in 1956.
