Royal Southern Hospital Liverpool 1935 Silver Nurses Badge by Boodle & Dunthorne

A good original circa 1935 period fine quality 'Royal Southern Hospital Liverpool nurses badge'; Crowned shield shaped example, engraved with floral decoration and most importantly the 'Liver Bird' a mythical creature symbol of the City of Liverpool; the reverse impressed with London silver hallmarks for 1935 and maker's details 'B & D' ( Boodle & Dunthorne Lord Street, Liverpool ). Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings and purpose made ring to attach a safety chain. Height 36mm.
