Romford Wheelers Cycle Club 1939 silver and enamel fob badge
A scarce original 1939 wartime period 'Romford Wheelers Cycle Club Medal' in the form of a large ornate fob, mounted with a central enamel disc depicting a representation of the Liberty of Havering Palace gatehouse, used on the seal of the Romford Urban District Council, also as a trade mark by 'Ind Coope and Co' brewers of Romford; the reverse impressed ith Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1939 and maker's details 'W H Ltd', inscribed: 'LONGMARKERS 25 1st H'CAP. 1.13.55. (5) D. SAVIDGE. 1939.' Very good condition, no damage to the enamel, complete with ring suspension.
