Allan Line Steamship Company Officer's Cap Badge Glasgow Scotland

A rare original turn of the twentieth century small pattern 'Allan Bros & Co Ltd officer's gilt and enamel cap badge'; small gilt laurel wreath with an applied red, white and blue shipping line house flag of the Shipping Company mounted by a red pennant to the centre; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'J.R.Gaunt London' and 'PATENT' mark. Very good condition, complete with original two loop fittings and retaining split pin, no damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright. An excellent example.
