A scarce original circa 1960's 1970's period 'British Rail Newhaven to Dieppe Ferries officers cap badge'
large black felt padded backing, displaying gold wire bullion laurel sprays, red, white and blue silk embroidered house flag with bullion trim to centre; the reverse with black herringbone weave backing. Very good condition, colours remains bright.
Height approx 57mm.
In 1968 an Act of Parliament separated the shipping interests of British Rail into a new division, Sealink was adopted in 1970.
