St George For England patriotic badge

A scarce original circa 1920's period large pattern fine quality 'St George For England gilt badge' bearing a figure of 'Saint George and the Dragon' with title ribbon scroll in blue enamel. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright. Height 35mm.
The Royal Society of St George was founded in 1894, with Queen Victoria as first Royal Patron, followed by the patronage of every reigning monarch upto Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
