Awarded to 'T-34669 DVR J.A. PILE ASC'
Comprising: 1914 Star, with rosette to the ribbon “DVR ASC”, British War Medal, Victory Medal “DVR ASC”. Medals have been worn loose and retain original silk ribbons, accompanied by original top half of forwarding box (BWM & VM) and Registered envelope addressed to Driver Price then living at Netton Salisbury Wiltshire.
Driver James A Pile a pre war regular soldier landed in France on the 22nd September 1914, at that time he was attached to the advance party of the Headquarters Staff of the Lahore Indian Division. In 1916 he transferred to the Royal Field Artillery.
