A rare original circa First World War period 'Mary-Le-Bone Rifle Club badge'; large gilt green enamel title surround, the voided centre depicting the early 20th century early pattern Coat of Arms for Marylebone London, with Virgin and Child at the top and a Latin motto below 'Fiat Secundum Verbum Tuum' (let it be done according to your word); the reverse impressed with maker's details 'J.R.GAUNT LONDON'. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole lapel fitting, no damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright.
