British & Foreign Sailors Society copper medal from Nelsons ship
An original piece of English artefact circa 1905 struck to Commemorative the Centenary of the 'Battle of Trafalgar' and DEATH OF NELSON' fought by the Royal Navy in their final Victory against the combined fleets of the French and Spanish Navies in 1805 and sold on behalf of the 'British & Foreign Sailors Society' with reverse depicting an embossed representation of the ship 'HMS Foudroyant' in full sail, inscribed 'ENGLAND EXPECTS THAT EVERY MAN WILL DO HIS DUTY' 'THANK GOD I HAVE DONE MY DUTY' the obverse with embossed inscription 'PRESENTED BY BRITISH & FOREIGN SAILORS SOCIETY' 'DEATH OF NELSON OCT. 21.1805' CENTENARY MEMENTO OCT.21.1905' 'E.R. VII' From B.F.S.S. Nelson Centenary Froudroyant and Victory Copper E.R.VII.'. Very good condition, original ring suspension now absent.
