Boer War Baden Powell V.C. South Shields Honours Heroic Mafeking Medallion

A scarce original circa 1900 'South Shields Honours Heroic Mafeking medal'; white metal example the obverse depicting an embossed portrait of Baden Powell (later to become the Chief Scout of the Boy Scout Movement); the reverse bearing the Royal Arms and portraits of Sir George White V.C. Lord Roberts V.C. and Sir Redvers Buller V.C. and inscribed 'S. Africa 1899 1900'. Good condition, complete with two ring suspension and original patriotic red, white and blue ribbon now crumpled.
