City of Sheffield Police Old Comrades Association badge c.1928 - 1949

A scarce original early period issue 'City of Sheffield Police Old Comrades Association brass lapel badge'; Crowned blue enamel horseshoe title with white scroll below, with an embossed shield to centre, bearing a sheaf of arrows and three wheatsheaves from the City Arms; the reverse impressed with early maker's details 'Thomas Fattorini Hockley Street (Birmingham) Ltd' registered 1919 dropping (Birmingham) from the trade name in 1927'. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole lapel fitting, no damage to the enamel.
