SS Empress of Britain ships wheel gilt and enamel pin badge

A scace original circa vintage period 'S.S. Empress of Britain shipping line sweetheart brooch'; gilt brass ships wheel suspended from a 1940's style ornate ripple bow, the centre with an applied enamel crest bearing the Canadian Pacific Shipping Line Company chequered house flag. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, minor manufacturers infill flaw to crown.
Height approx 44mm.
Empress of Britain built 1930 torpedoed by German U32 and sunk 1940.
Empress of Britain built 1956 sold to Greek Line in 1964 and renamed Queen Anna Maria.
