A scarce original circa 1936 to 1949 chromium plated issue 'London & North Eastern Railway Police LNER senior officer uniform button'; small chromium plated title circlet, the centre with company shield crest bearing 'FORWARD' scroll below. Good condition, the reverse complete with original loop fitting, service wear to highpoints. Diameter approx 18mm.
London & North Eastern Railway Police formed in 1921, this example worn by Inspectors and above, in white metal until 1936 and then in chromium plated finish until 1949.
