BEA Airline aircrew brevet wing gilt metal uniform badge

A scarce original circa 1970's late issue 'British European Airways brevet wing badge' in the form of a heavy duty large rich gilt metal wing, the 'BEA' disc inlaid with red enamel and surmounted by an 'Astral Crown'. Very good condition, retaining both late issue clutch pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, gilt finish remain bright.
Width 52mm.
British European Airways was formed in 1946, BEA and BOAC merged in 1974 to become British Airways.
