Lusitania Cunard Shipping Line souvenir celluloid matchbox cover

A scarce original 'Souvenir of the Great War celluloid matchbox cover' sold to raise funds, the front depicting a coloured image of the passenger liner ship with quote: 'One Of The Fastest And Largest Vessel Of The World'; the reverse with 'United allies patriotic highly coloured flags of England, France, Belgium, Russia, Italy and Japan, the spine with printed details 'BRITISH MADE' and memorial reads 'The Lusitania was launched on June 27th 1906. Cost over £1,250,000. Length 790 feet. Breadth 88 feet. Torpedoed and sunk by German Pirates, without warning, on May 7th, 1915, off Irish Coast. Over 1,100 lives lost. The greatest crime in history against humanity.' Good condition, some minor foxing, complete with part matchbox.
