Cleaver Sanatorian TB hospital nurses award badge Heswell Cheshire
A scarce original circa 1920 to 1950 period 'Cleaver Sanatorian hospital nurses pin badge'; chromium plated example in the form of the 'Star of David' the surround inlaid with red enamel and inscribed with Latin motto 'Non Nobis Sed Omnibus' (not to us, but to all), the centre depicting a 'Cross of Lorraine and Dragon' symbolising the fight against tuberculosis, on white enamel ground; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Thomas Fattorrini Ltd Regent St Birmingham'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, minor dark bruise to Omnibus motto.
