WW1 6th Bn Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders silver war badge

A good original First World War period 'Silver War Badge official issue number 'B276828'; unmarked silver circlet inscribed 'For King And Empire Services Rendered' bearing crowned 'GRI' Imperial Cypher to voided centre. Good condition, complete with pin fittings. Diameter 33mm.
Silver War Badge B276828 was awarded to 252547 Private James Bickerstaff who served with the 6th Bn Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders. Having enlisted on the 14th January 1916 he served in France being awarded the British War Medal and Victory Medal and was discharged with the awarded of the Silver War Badge on the 5th December 1917.
