Womens Voluntary Service WVS Civil Defence cloth badge

A particularly good example of a scarce original Second World War early pre 1941 period Women's Voluntary Service home front badge'; George VI crowned 'W.V.S Civil Defence' shield, maroon silk embroidered details on grey woven cloth, the reverse with off-white hessian backing. Very good condition.
