1915 Recruiting Staff 4th Area badge Lancaster

A scarce original First World War period '1915 Recruiting Staff lapel badge'; gilt red enamel title surround, the centre bearing 4th Area (Lancaster) on white enamel ground, the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Lowe Chester'. Fair condition, original buttonhole lapel replaced with old pin fitting, stress marks and enamel loss, gilt finish remains bright.
