BOAC Airline air stewardess gold bullion brevet wing badge

A scarce original circa 1940's early period 'British Overseas Airways Corporation air stewardess badge', large gold bullion padded brevet wing, central 'S' on blue silk ribbed backing, the reverse with black hessian waxed lining. Very good condition, gold bullion remains bright.
Width approx 60mm.
British Overseas Airways Corporation was formed in 1939, BOAC and BEA merged in 1974 to become British Airways.
