WW1 British Red Cross Society London Lewisham branch badge

A scarce original First World War period 'British Red Cross Society London Lewisham gilt and enamel County pin badge', the reverse impressed with maker's details 'J.R Gaunt London' and inscribed '26521 Marguerite Gilbert'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel.
Height approx 49mm.

The British Red Cross Society County / Branch badge was Instituted in 1911 and Discontinued in 1956.
