National Hospital Service Reserve nursing & first aid badge

A scarce original post 1953 Cold War period Civil Defence 'National Hospital Service Reserve pin badge', gilt shield inlaid with green enamel, surmounted by a EIIR Crown, the reverse impressed with maker's details 'H.W.Miller Ltd B'Ham.18'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel.
Height approx 30mm.
National Hospital Service Reserve a Cold War Civil Defence organisation established in 1949 and disbanded in 1968.
