Royal Observer Corps lapel and cap badge
A scarce original post 1941 to 1952 large silver plate badge with pale blue enamel circlet 'Forewarned is Forearmed' and 'Royal Observer Corps', surmounted by a King's Crown, the centre depicting an Elizabethan coastwatcher holding a flaming torch and scanning the horizon. Good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, minor enamel loss below crown. Price reflects.

The 'Observer Corps' was awarded the title 'Royal' by His Majesty King George VI in April 1941, in recognition of service carried out by Observer Corps personnel during the Battle of Britain.
