WW1 French War Emergency Fund fundraising pin badge
A scarce original First World War period British made 'French War Emergency Fund stick pin badge' worn by volunteers collecting for the cause, in the form of a thin gilt disc bearing title surround, an embossed 'Gallic Rooster' the National symbol of France to the centre; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'T.Fattorini BOLTON'. Very good condition, complete with original single stick pin fitting, gilt remains bright.
Diameter approx 26mm.
The 'French War Emergency Fund' was formed originally as the 'French Wounded Emergency Fund' in Paris in 1915.
