A rare original pre 1940 wartime period 'Jersey Channel Islands air raid precautions warden badge', chromium plated crowned red enamel shield bearing the coat of arms of Jersey (Gules three lions passant guardant in pale) with 'ARP' scroll below. Good condition, complete with original buttonhole lapel fitting, no enamel loss but with a number of stress lines and wear to chromium plated finish. Price reflects with these defects.

Jersey suffered German airaids in 1940, followed rapidly by invasion.
