National Unemployed Workers Movement NUWM tin buttin badge
A rare original circa 1930's period 'National Unemployed Workers Movement badge', in the form of a very small red celluloid tin button stick pin, bearing black lettering 'N.U.W.M'. Good condition, complete with original pin fitting, minor foxing and rust.
Diameter 16mm.
Founded as the 'NUWCM' National Unemployed Workers Committee Movement in 1921 until 1929. Its aim was to draw attention to the plight of unemployed workers during the post First World War slump.
The 'NUWM' National Unemployed Workers Movement was dissolved in circa 1946.
