Civil Defence Corps scottish lion cloth badge c1949 to 1953
A good original circa 1949 to 1953 Cold War period 'Civil Defence Corps' large size badge worn on the breast pocket of the uniform depicting King George VI crowned circlet, the centre bearing a forward facing red lion device woven in red, yellow, green and blue silk cotton on black felt backing with hessian lining. Very good used condition, shows evidence of having been removed from uniform.
