WW2 Womens Land Army WLA hat and uniform badge H.W.Miller

A scarce original Second World War period 'Womens Land Army' gilt badge, inlaid with green enamel to central wheatsheaf and red enamel to the Crown, the reverse impressed with maker's details 'H.W.M' (H.W.Miller Ltd Birmingham). Very good clean condition, complete with original pin fittings, no stress marks or damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright. An excellent example
Height approx 36mm.

Worn on the felt hat and also on the uniform green jumper, discontinued after 1942 due to the metal shortage.
