West Suffolk Womens Institutes WI badge with bars 1927 to 1938
A rare original circa 1927 period 'West Suffolk Womens Institutes WI badge' in the form of gilt and enamel shield, bearing the arms of 'Bury St. Edmunds' viz three Crowns with crossed Arrows surmounted by a fretted Wolf holding a King's Head used between 1609 and 1974 and re-adopt on 1st April 2019; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Fattorini & Sons Bradford' (an address format used circa 1908 and 1928). Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, thirteen coloured enamel bars ending in 1938 with a 'For Home and Country pin badge, enamel perfect.
