A scarce original First World War period Volunteer Training Corps 'Home Protection Brigade Sussex VTC lapel badge'; gilt brass blue enamel title circlet, the centre displaying an embossed red, white and blue enamel patriotic 'Union Flag' on seeded ground, the reverse impressed with official low issue number '1158'. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, no damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright.
