Doncaster Royal Infirmary silver hospital nurses badge

A scarce original circa 1960's period 'Doncaster Royal Infirmary nurses qualification badge'; a well designed example depicting a winged red cross, superimposed shield bearing the 'Doncaster County coat of Arms' and suspended from an embossed title bar; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'W.J.D' (William James Dingley) and Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1961' and inscribed to the original recipient. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no serious damage to the enamel, just some minor nicks not affecting the appearance.
