WW1 Thumbs Up good luck soldier and sailor hospital fundraisers badge

A very scarce original First World War period 'Thumbs Up' convalescing hospital fundraisers badge, in the form of a gilt flag on a pole bearing a red cross, depicting the head and shoulders of a recuperating Soldier and Sailor both wearing 'Hospital Blues uniforms' one with his thumb up the other offering his hand; the reverse impressed with early maker's details 'Thomas Fattorini Bolton'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no stress marks or damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright.
